Often referred to simply as “EFT Tapping,” Emotional Freedom Technique is a gentle yet powerful method for reducing emotional distress and supporting mental well-being.

What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

 

EFT involves lightly tapping on specific acupressure (meridian) points with your fingertips while focusing on a particular issue, along with the emotions or physical sensations connected to it.


As you tap on these key points, you’re sending calming signals to the brain; especially the amygdala, which governs the fight-or-flight response. This allows your body to stay grounded, even as you acknowledge stressful thoughts, memories or feelings.


This process helps your nervous system respond differently to old triggers. Emotional patterns that once felt automatic begin to loosen their grip, creating space for healthier, more balanced responses.


In other words, tapping helps rewire the brain, softening the emotional charge around past experiences and shifting how we think, feel and behave.

When you arrive for your session, we’ll begin with a gentle conversation and a short questionnaire to explore what’s currently showing up in your life. This is your space to ask questions and share whatever feels comfortable. Before we begin tapping, I’ll demonstrate the eight tapping points so you feel confident and supported.

During the session, I’ll tap with you and guide you through each step and phrase. The key to effective tapping is being specific. It’s completely normal for tapping to feel a little repetitive or even a bit silly when you first start, but once you begin to feel the shifts, you’ll see how powerful and effective this technique can be.

It’s important to know that more than one session may be required. We all have layers and sometimes while working on one concern, other emotions or memories can naturally rise to the surface.
